Auto Dealer Replaces CD based report archiving with Report Manager Plus

CD-based Report Archiving Became Too Cumbersome and Expensive

In this case study, we explore how the Kenwood Dealer Group converted from a CD based report archiving system to a more cost effective and easier to use web-based Report Archiving System called RM Plus. The Kenwood Dealer Group stopped printing its management reports in 2001. At that time, they implemented a CD based report archiving system. This solution served them well over the years, but it has gotten too complex and expensive to utilize effectively.

Business Problem – The Kenwood Dealer Group utilizes a Dealer Management System (DMS) from ADP to manage its 12 dealerships. The required financial data is kept in the DMS system, but it only goes back 6 months. Because they needed to easily access older reports, the Kenwood Dealer Group implemented a CD based report archiving system in 2001. This system stores their old reports on a CD for future reference.

Early in 2005, the Kenwood Dealer Group started to run into challenges with the cd based system and implemented RM Plus from Plus Technologies.
