ARCHIVE-Short Term Print Job/Document Archiving-Intelligent Delivery of Documents to an Archive
The OM Plus Archive module stores and quickly retrieves documents spooled through OM Plus making it exceptional document archiving and retrieving software. Archived reports are optionally compressed and stored in a user-defined directory. Files are "tagged" to be archived with a command line option or from the status and control screen of OM Plus.
Report Distribution Applications-After purging from the queue, the document is indexed and stored for later display. When a document is retrieved, it is displayed in the OM Plus document viewer and can be viewed or printed. File archiving gives you "mid-term"access to documents without cluttering up the OM Plus Status and Control screen.

Report and Print Distribution Software, Bundling and Intelligent Delivery Software
Separating, and distributing printed documents/reports is a messy reality for most enterprises. Distributing reports very often is a critical, day-to-day business requirement. Unfortunately, most organizations utilize manual processes for delivering documents/reports throughout their enterprise. Manually bursting and collating printed documents/reports is an expensive, time consuming process. With OM Plus there are Intelligent Document delivery capabilities.
Report Distribution
The OM Plus Report Distributor module provides an easy way to improve your document distribution--eliminating manual bursting prior to delivery through OM Plus Intelligent Document Delivery capability. Report Distributor electronically and automatically searches your document and using business rules you set up, "carves" up the report into sub-reports and through Intelligent Document Delivery it delivers just the sub-report an end user needs--how they want it (i.e. to a printer, via email, fax or the web). Report Distributor improves the quality of information distribution, saves time and money. Additionally, knowledge deployment and information security are improved and system overhead is reduced because a report is created just once and burst into multiple sub-reports which lowers impact on the network and reduces hits on the database.
Report Bundling
The OM Plus Report Bundler module allows you to automatically group documents or portions of related documents together, collate and batch them, and send them to end users through Intelligent Document Delivery--how they want them and when they want them. Documents get printed throughout the day and need to be delivered to end users. In a typical day, all of an end user’s documents are not printed in sequence. This can lead to documents getting lost which if the labor intensive job of collating the documents is not done properly. Report Bundler manages all the bundling for you using business rules you set up.
Context Delivery-Intelligent Document Delivery
With the OM Plus intelligent Context Delivery module, document data and command line arguments are captured prior to the document being spooled. Destination and delivery decisions can be made about the document prior to it being spooled. With Context Delivery, intelligent document delivery decisions can be made "real-time" about what to do with the document, (how and where to deliver it) based on triggers within the document’s "meta-data" such as User, Report Title, Destination, Data Within the Report or any Command Line Option. Context Delivery allows you to set up business rules regarding where to deliver a document automatically without making changes to the underlying application.
Intelligent document delivery, using business rules you set up, improves critical business processes because real time decisions can be made without IT intervention if there are delivery problems, network problems, printer problems, and much more.
SAP R/3 Delivery
OM Plus is SAP certified to the SAP BC-XOM standard. Through the implementation of OM Plus’ R/3 delivery module OM Plus can confirm, from end-to-end, the delivery of a print job and notify SAP of a successful delivery of the job. Without OM Plus and the R/3 module, all SAP knows is that it delivered a print job to the operating system print spooling system. No return confirmation back to SAP of successful printing is provided.
Fax Delivery
Delivery of print jobs to a fax server is a standard feature/capability of OM Plus. Additional document based business process improvement can be realized by utilizing the bi-directional confirmation capability found in OM Plus to confirm the delivery of the fax so the application knows the fax was delivered to its end destination not just to the fax server.
OM Plus User Interfaces
OM Plus has multiple end user interfaces including a Java GUI, an HTML interface and a terminal interface for UNIX users.
Java GUI
The Java GUI interface is primarily used by the Help Desk and Sys Admin team at your organization to manage print queues (destinations), troubleshoot problems, view print job status, and much more. The full functionality and power of OM Plus is accessed via the Java GUI.
HTML
The OM Plus HTML user interface is for the end-users who want a “zero client” solution for advanced control of their print jobs. Most OM Plus print management functions and commands are available to users right through their browser allowing them to manage their print environments themselves.
Automated Printer Definition
Printer Definition Plus (PDP) is an add-on module to OM Plus that automates the deployment of printer definitions so that no effort is ever required to define network printers on end user workstations again!
Network printers must be defined to end user workstations in order to make them accessible. These network printer "definitions" need to be maintained at both the end user PC/workstation and at the server. Changes to these definitions are required anytime new associates are hired, new PC’s are purchased, associate’s job changes, changes in associate physical locations, new server installations, application software changes, etc. Maintaining network printer definitions on end user PC’s can be a time consuming, tedious, manual job for network administrators as well as end users. Printer Definition Plus relieves the Network Administrator of this task, freeing them up to perform more critical tasks than defining printers on individual workstations.
