OM Plus - Fleet Manager
Delivering print jobs has been the primary focus of OM Plus for years. OM Plus has never been designed to manage a printer fleet …. until now. As part of the spooling process OM Plus has always been able to collect printer device status and used it for spooling purposes. Now OM Plus Fleet Manager (FM) takes this capability to a new level, to help organizations manage their printer fleets.
Using a user configurable data collector, OM Plus FM will programmatically retrieve snmp and other printer status data from networked devices. This data is passed into the FM web application server that that uses the data to:
- automate consumables management. FM will track toner levels and automatically create enable the toner ordering process including part numbers, supplier, and other relevant information. In addition FM will send an alert to the device contact indicating when to change the toner cartridge so as to maximize yield.
- collect device asset information so that users will be aware of make, model, device features, firmware levels, duty cycle, and more.
- capture alerts and lets the users define alert priority and related actions so that service can be improved and printer uptime can be maximized.
- capture device meters and usage data. All information regarding the devices is displayed on a device detail screen for quick easy reference.
These and many more features are available in Plus Technologies, OM Plus Fleet Manager. OM Plus FM may be implemented by users onsite or as a hosted web application> OM Plus FM will help users significantly reduce printer cost and improve printer device management.
