Corporate Enterprise Applications and ERP products create the documents needed to run the business. These documents are often critical to the core business processes of the company such as shipping, invoicing, collections, payment, inventory management and include documents like labels, bills of lading, checks, invoices, reports and other critical documents. If these documents to not print properly, important business processes will be interrupted.

At a technical level, the way printing ERP printing works is as follows: Once the document is created the ERP application invokes the spooling system at the operating system (O/S) level. It is the O/S spooling system that, in fact, sends the print jobs to the printer.  At the point of hand-off, the ERP loses control of the print job. There is no feedback from the O/S back to the ERP regarding the print job. The ERP is out of the loop. In addition, the native O/S spooling systems have minimal capabilities that  “send and forget”.  There is no communication between the O/S spooling system and the printer to confirm that print actually occurred. Once the native spooling system sends the print job it purges the job. Knowledge of error, device status, error recovery, and print delivery options are non-existent. That is where OM Plus comes in.

OM Plus is an advanced print delivery and spooling software product.  OM Plus designed to complement enterprise application software and ERP products. OM Plus intercepts the print jobs when the ERP invokes the O/S spooling system. OM Plus will take the place of the O/S spooling function. OM Plus will add print routing capabilities, maintain a bi-directional dialogue with printers, confirm delivery to the printer output tray, re-route, reprint, archive, modify print attributes, log activity, and notify amongst its many capabilities. Because of the way OM Plus is designed no changes are required to the ERP or enterprise application.

In addition, OM Plus has provided spooling to many healthcare applications such EPIC, Cerner, IDX, Sorian, and others.

OM Plus is a certified SAP solution. OM Plus has completed the BC-XOM spooling certification process. OM Plus has a certified solution for the polling as well as RFC method of interface. With the SAP certified OM Plus solution users can see the status of the print jobs right to the tray, from within their SAP system.

OM Plus has developed custom interfaces for confirmed label printing, load balancing and fail-over for Zebra and Printronix environments. OM Plus is also to deliver jobs to most of the common electronic forms products such as Formscape, eComm Integrate, Flexform, Createform, Infinica, Streamserve and fax applications such as Rightfax.
