OM Plus is a certified print  spooler  for SAP R3. The OM Plus print spooler is certified for both “polling” and “call- back” implementations of SAP. OM Plus will accept the jobs from one or multiple SAP servers using the defined BC-XOM process. OM Plus will track each of the SAP print jobs regardless of the application server and understands the SAP job identification scheme.

Once OM Plus has the job it performs all the print spooling functions replacing the O/S level spooling function normally used by SAP.  OM Plus will open bi-directional communications with pjl compliant printers and track the printing process on a page-by-page basis. In this way OM Plus can ‘confirm’ that printing successfully occurred and the pages are in the output bin. OM Plus will report status back to SAP so that SAP users can see the actual, real time status of their jobs on their SAP screens. There is no need for users to invoke the OM Plus UI to see job or printer status. SAP users can request status and cancel jobs from within their Sap applications.

If a print job does not complete properly OM Plus can be set up to re-print on a fail-over printer, notify the help desk, re-print later or perform other elegant strategies. In addition, SAP users have access to the complete list of OM Plus features to enhance printing such load balancing, label printing, print accounting, and more.
