Printing solutions for SAP implementations

puzzleSAP continues to be the market leading enterprise resource planning (ERP) software. However, when it comes to printing, SAP relies on the native operating systems’ limited print spooler utilities. The native print spooler is quite basic and provides very little feedback from printers. Print jobs can easily get lost or may not finish at all. From a user perspective, there is little information or feedback when problems occur.

OM Plus Delivery Manager from Plus Technologies addresses these issues by providing a complete end-to-end advanced printing solution for SAP. OM Plus Delivery Manager is highly scalable, and is easy to install and use.

How to route print with conditions?

route print with conditionsNative operating systems such as Windows, UNIX and Linux do not allow for conditions based routing of print jobs. In order to perform print job routing, a third party software is needed. OM Plus Delivery Manager from Plus Technologies (in conjunction with its Context Delivery option) provides dynamic delivery actions to be invoked based on triggers/conditions found in the document. Once these triggers are matched, user defined delivery options are executed such as dynamically adding text to the document, invoking a form, changing destinations or number of copies, scheduling the job, notifying a user, or re-routing the job to the printer used for large print jobs.

OM Plus i-Sat embedded solution passes certification to run in Lexmark MFDs

isatRepOM Plus i-Sat is simple, easy to install, easy to use, cloud enabled, printing software that is ideal for organizations that need to print from ERP/EMR and other back-end applications to remote sites such as, satellite offices, affiliate organizations, business partners, and home offices.  Today, remote users commonly use VPN as a means to access host systems. VPN access means these users become “virtual members” of the host system which can create security vulnerabilities. In many cases these remote users are not organic company employees but business partners or affiliates such as clinics or doctor offices. Organizations may not have control over these end user systems creating vulnerabilities. VPN connections also consume IT support resources and can be relatively expensive.

OM Plus Fleet Manager now includes a new report for Device Uptime

Plus Technologies is pleased to announce the release of a Device Uptime report in its OM Plus Fleet Manager product. Several customers have voiced a need for such a report.
