City of New York Renews OM Plus
For over 10 years (since 2008), Plus Technologies has provided its own customized software, services and 7×24 support to the City of New York Department of Information Technology and Telecommunications (DoITT). Plus Technologies implemented a pilot before rolling out a new system. This solution improves the timeliness of legal and court processing of cases, especially for legal compliance and to protect the city from litigation.
Working alongside the City of New York, Dimension Data, their subcontractors such as LiquidHub, and their printer vendor of choice (Lexmark), Plus Technologies contributed to the success of Plan IT. Plan IT is better Government through Customer Service. Expertise in centralized data center hosted, server-based printing and its middleware, connecting data, applications, systems, and devices for managed document delivery. Documents needed to be bundled together and delivered to the correct court. Moreover this needed to be done with print server, court, and printer-level automated failover. This allows all parties received the complete, relevant documentation for them in time.
This custom implementation of OM Plus software assures on-time delivery of the various required documents in a highly available, load balanced manner, across servers, across the various boroughs’ courts, their printers, and even the printers’ output trays. Various additional capabilities and additional licensing have been added over time to meet new requirements. OM Plus software is enterprise output management software meeting the requirements of thousands of enterprises for high volume, time-sensitive, critical, continuous, and confidential document delivery.
Plus Technologies helped the team win the “Best IT Collaboration” Excellence in Technology Award in 2011. The internal collaborators included were: Bronx County District Attorney (BXDA), NYC Criminal Justice Agency (CJA), Mayor’s Office of the Criminal Justice Coordinator (CJC), District Attorney of New York (DANY), New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS), Department of Sharing data from DA’s, the NYPD, and across Information Technology & Telecommunications (DoITT), New York City Police Department (NYPD), and New York State Office of Court Administration (OCA).
