DAYTON, OHIO, May 19, 2008 – Enterprise print management people will tell you that in the perfect situation, the format in which a document is produced matches the format supported by the chosen destination in all circumstances. However, this perfect situation rarely happens. In many cases, documents are generated in one format, yet the document needs to be delivered to an output destination(s) in a different format. For instance, a document that was originally generated on the host in AFP might now be better for the organization if it could be sent to a PCL printer for distributed printing or in HTML for viewing on the web, or even as a PDF for archiving or printing on a PDF capable printer.
Because of these type of customer needs, Plus Technologies has added Print Datastream Transformation Tools to its Enterprise Print Management solution set.
