Dayton, Ohio, June 14, 2011 – Plus Technologies announced today that their OM Plus Print Spooling Software has been successfully implemented by the largest managed health care provider in the U.S. This organization is based in California, operates in nine states, has 167,000 employees, 14,600 doctors, 431 locations, and is Epic’s Healthcare Software’s largest customer.

The multi stage project which started over a year ago is reaching completion of the initial roll out of the OM Plus Print Spooling Software Suite. OM Plus manages printing from the Epic EMR system to over 25,000 printers and multi-function devices across the nine state region. This project represents the largest implementation of print spooling software in an Epic environment in the world. By utilizing OM Plus from Plus Technologies, the health care provider is streamlining operations by reducing managed print queues by over 50%, reducing printing errors, automating error recovery, printer load balancing, and increasing system up-time. In addition, OM Plus increases patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance by providing an encrypted print data stream.
