OM Plus Delivery Manager (DM) Version 3.1 – Now Available
A new version of OM Plus Delivery Manager (DM) is now available. As of September 20th Plus Technologies will begin shipping version 3.1 of DM. The bulk of the changes to DM improve system security as well as simplify installation and operations. Customers with valid support contracts will be eligible to upgrade to this new release without any additional license fees.
OM Plus DM is advanced, intelligent print spooler management software. Delivery Manager seamlessly ingests print jobs from enterprise systems and delivers them to printers, multi-function devices, fax software, email systems, and more. Rarely, changes are needed to existing ERP/EMR/WMS or other “backend systems”.
Delivery Manager (DM) provides print job routing, confirmation of delivery, load balancing, automated failover, and many other administrative features. OM Plus can also provide features such as My-Print-Delivery (MPD) for pull-printing, Tamper Resistant Print for Rx printing on plain paper, i-Sat for secure/plug & play internet print delivery for remote locations, Stats Manager for print/copy/fax/scan usage analysis, Fleet Manager for device/consumables management, and more.
Specific features/enhancements included in 3.1.1 include:
- Data encryption for documents in motion between OM Plus DM Servers and between DM Servers and its Web Client.
- Support for TLS 1.3.
- New data type to support label counting of the Datamax Print Language.
- Tamper Resistant Printing (eg for plain paper Rx print) integrated into DM installation.
- MPD printer configuration now integrated into OM Plus DM installation.
- New updated service for downloading emails from Microsoft owned systems and spooling the attachments (the prior version of the DM scan service will no longer work for MS after they enforced OAUTH2 authentication).
- Web client destination details screen now includes printer device data (e.g. alerts, consumable levels, page counts).
