The Wall Street Journal published a story in its October 13th edition regarding Plus Technologies‘ customer, CSX Rail. The theme of the story revolved around how CSX is dealing with the loss of coal shipment revenues. In Addition, CSX is addressing this situation by managing its cost structure and saving cost wherever possible. OM Plus print software plays an important role in this cost saving strategy.
Plus Technologies has built a custom solution for CSX based on its My-Print-Delivery (MPD) pull-print technology. Plus Technologies’ pull-print software has been deployed to virtually all CSX locations. This implementation simplifies the creation of train work orders and saves CSX labor costs. Also this simplifies system administration, reduces toner and paper waste.
