Plus Technologies is pleased to welcome a new member to its team this year: Tom Stewart.

On April 1st, 2013 Tom joined our Technical Support team and brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience. He started with Digital Controls Corporation, a Data Processing switching and Communications company in 1980 and has held various positions in Manufacturing and Quality Control, designing manufacturing and testing processes.

In 1992, he joined the Systems Group developing processes for design, build and test of open multiprocessor Unix systems.

He was the Lead Systems Architect for:

  • Large Scale Multiprocessor Systems
  • High Availability Cluster Solutions
  • Storage Systems – Storage area networks, tape libraries and Virtual Tape Libraries
  • Software Utility Integration for Systems Management.

Group Leader for multiple support practice startups:

  • Data Communications Test Group
  • Printer Interface Test Group
  • Systems Support Group
  • Storage and Security Group
  • Managed Print Group

Prior to employment with Plus Technologies, Tom was a Technical Operations Manager with Global Environmental Services (GES). His duties included deployment and support of the OM Plus Fleet Manager System, design of consumables monitoring and replenishment processes to support end user print fleet and specification and deployment of Secure Print Release Systems using RFID proximity systems.
