Tap and Go Print Release Solution
Plus Technologies along with their partners Lexmark International and WBM Technologies have worked together to provide a customized print “release” and print statistics solution to a Canadian health agency. Some of the customer’s objectives of the print release project included improved document security, reducing the number of failed print jobs, using print statistics to improve visibility of over/under-utilized assets, improve consumables information to help reduce cost.
This project has recently run through a successful Proof Of Concept phase earlier this year to prove the ROI, identify changes to document workflows, and validate ease of use for the end users. The solution passed the POC stage and is now moving into the production phase. Plus Technologies will be remotely leading the implementation effort with assistance from WBM Technologies.
The solution consists of multiple components from the OM Plus Output Management family of products including:
- OM Plus Delivery Manager (DM) to seamlessly ingest print jobs from the customer’s EMR system, store the jobs, and route the print jobs to their final destination.
- My-Print-Delivery (MPD) to provide the print release functions needed by the customer include user authentication.
- OM Plus Stats Manager to gather user and device based print data and reports so the customer can better understand the print environment and reduce costs.
