PP2000 Business Integration located in Stutgardt, Germany has been a Plus Technologies partner for many years.
PP2000 is an IT Services company that provides services such as solution definition, provision of software (like OM Plus print management software), installation, project management, operations and technical support. Services include Managed Print Services and IT infrastructure.
Plus Technologies has been providing Enterprise Output Management (EOM) solutions to healthcare organizations for many years. Our solutions include OM Plus Delivery Manager to provide centralized management, confirmed print, advanced routing, and reliable delivery of EMR output to printers and MFPs. OM Plus TRP replaces paper based forms with plain paper Rx printing. OM Plus MPD provides a variety of pull-print solutions to reduce cost and increase security. Also, OM Plus Stats provides detail and statistics needed to audit the print process.
OM Plus will help connect back end systems and print devices to eliminate gaps in information flow. Electronic health records (EHRs) contain a lot of information that clinicians use to deliver patient care. But it isn’t always easy for workers to print admission forms, patient wristbands, treatment notes and other types of output on the right device — especially when they’re all coming from different host systems.
Print information reliably regardless of which system you’re using, and gather output for a single patient —from multiple users on multiple systems — and route it to a single printer when you need it. Improve productivity by reducing the time and effort that workers spend formatting, producing and finding documents. Help reduce the risk of lost PHI on paper with just-in-time printing while you wait.
New Versions of OM Plus Delivery Manager (DM) and My-Print-Delivery (MPD)
New versions of OM Plus Delivery Manager (DM) and My-Print-Delivery (MPD) print software are in development and are coming soon. Plus Technologies’ software engineers are nearly finished significant enhancements to Delivery Manager (DM) and My-Print-Delivery (MPD).
Delivery Manager is a market leading output management software solution that routes print jobs from the source system all the way to the printer tray and adds numerous value add features along the way. Features such as load balancing, automated failover, intelligent/context based routing, print confirmation, error notification, statistics and more.
My-Print-Delivery is Plus Technologies’ pull-print (sometimes called print release) solution. MPD allows end user print jobs to be held by the MPD system. MPD then routes the jobs to the printer once the user is identified and authenticated. A major benefit of MPD is the integration with back-end systems like EMR’s (eg Epic, Cerner), ERP’s (SAP, Oracle), WMS, and Single Sign-on (eg Imprivata) systems for the delivery of print jobs created by those systems.
These new releases are expected to be completed in the next month and will provide significant enhancements in the following areas.
DM installation improvements
MPD configuration simplification
Improved card reader integration
Enhanced security with support for TLS 1.2
Adding more print statistics
MPD application for Ricoh
Changes to support Lexmark esf application changes

Printer Management Vs. Output Management – What’s the Difference?
A common question that comes up is: “what is the difference between Printer Management and Output Management?”
Printer Management Software is commonly defined as ‘device management.’ Essentially the Printer Management Software ‘talks’ interactively with printers to gather information from the device itself regarding page counts, consumables, and printer health/errors. This information is then accumulated and interpreted by the Printer Management Software system to help organizations maintain device uptime, predictively order consumables, and optimize the fleet.
Plus Technologies Mentioned in Gartner Group Report
Plus Technologies has received a mention in a recent Gartner Group Report. This report is tittled: “Market Trends: Use Analytics Applications to Delight Your Print Customers.” In this report OM Plus print software and the analytics available through SMI and SMII are described. Below is a snippet from this article.
City of New York has been an OM Plus Print Software user for the past 8 years. Once again, NYC has decided to renew their right-to-use contract for OM Plus print software. The City of New York uses OM Plus software to automate and streamline their web-based Arraignment process. OM Plus helps ensure all the involved parties receive the documents required in a timely manner. In NYC, if people suspected of crimes are not arraigned in a timely manner they are set free. Therefore, it is paramount that documents are prepared quickly and accurately.
Plus Technologies supports this time critical process. OM Plus ingests the multiple documents that are created, then creates packets of documents based on the role of the individuals involved. An example; for the defense attorney, prosecuting attorney, police, and judge OM Plus routes the packets to the proper destination, delivers documents to printers and the appropriate output bins, communicates bidirectionally to ensure printing occurred properly, auto fails over if the printer fails, and notifies the help-desk in the case of failure.
New User Guide for OM Plus Tamper Resistant Printing (TRP) (Plain Paper Rx Printing) for Lexmark Devices
Plus Technologies has a new user guide available for Rx printing on Lexmark devices. All in all, this user guide is a technical reference for plain paper Rx printing on Lexmark devices. Moreover, OM Plus TRP is used for secure plain paper Rx printing. As has been noted, this user guide is now available, and if you are interested in seeing it please let us know.
Plus Technologies’ OM Plus TRP provides an alternative to expensive pre-printed forms by providing tamper resistant printing on plain paper. Furthermore, OM Plus TRP can take data streams directly from ERP/EMR systems, parse the necessary data, merge it with tamper resistant technology, and deliver it to popular laser printers stocked with plain paper.
