State of Washington Approves OM Plus TRP for Prescriptions

Recently, the State of Washington has removed the requirement of Thermochromic ink on prescriptions produced in the state of Washington. Thermochromic ink is typically used on pre-printed prescription forms and helps prevent unauthorized use of the forms. This can now be achieved on plain paper with the use of complex schemes and software available from vendors like Plus Technologies. Plus Technologies has been working with the State of Washington authorities over the past few months and has modified our Rx forms to meet the State’s requirements. Based on this work, the Plus Technologies’ solution exceeds the State and the CMS requirements and has been granted permission to sell our OM Plus Tamper Resistant Print Rx Solution (TRP) in the State of Washington.

Plus Technologies will be showing its OM Plus healthcare print software at HIMSS this year. The 2018 HIMSS Conference & Exhibition will take place on March 5–9, 2018 in Las Vegas. This conference brings together 45,000+ professionals from around the world for five days of education, innovation and collaboration.
While Plus Technologies will not have its own booth in the exhibit hall it will have its OM Plus print solutions demonstrated in four partner booths during the show. Plus Technologies’ partner booths are:  Lexmark, Coretek, Printer Logic, and Elatec.

Puerto Rico Insurance Company Purchases OM Plus

An insurance company located in Puerto Rico has purchased OM Plus Delivery Manager (DM). This insurance company is one of the leading insurance groups in Puerto Rico with operations in seventeen states in the United States. Additionally, they offer insurance products, policy financing, and investments. The purchase was for OM Plus Delivery Manager for 25 destinations with an OM Plus Agent, Archive, and backup. In this solution jobs are written to a drive where OM Plus picks them up and delivers them to a printer. OM Plus provides printer failover and archiving.

This year a hurricane impacted Puerto Rico and surrounding areas. This of course affected the timeline of testing OM Plus and the timeline of the purchase. Plus Technologies is very understanding and worked hard with this company to extend trial times and finalize the purchase.
