How to route print with conditions?

route print with conditionsNative operating systems such as Windows, UNIX and Linux do not allow for conditions based routing of print jobs. In order to perform print job routing, a third party software is needed. OM Plus Delivery Manager from Plus Technologies (in conjunction with its Context Delivery option) provides dynamic delivery actions to be invoked based on triggers/conditions found in the document. Once these triggers are matched, user defined delivery options are executed such as dynamically adding text to the document, invoking a form, changing destinations or number of copies, scheduling the job, notifying a user, or re-routing the job to the printer used for large print jobs.

How load balancing across multiple printers improves efficiency?

Printer load balancing is a feature used when several print jobs are sent to a group of printers. Load balancing will distribute the print jobs to other printers in a round robin fashion. Printer pooling does not work this way. Instead it sends print jobs to a primary printer in a non-round robin fashion. If the primary printer is busy, it will then route to secondary printers. When the primary printer becomes available again, print jobs will resume on the primary print device.

What is a print servers main function and how can it be improved?

A print server allows client computers to connect to printers over a network. The print server accepts print jobs from the client computers and routes the jobs to the appropriate printers. In addition to the traditional features of a print spooler,  it also includes many advanced features. You get all these benefits with OM Plus Delivery Manager:

How to confirm print in SAP R3

SAP R3 is the market-leading enterprise resource planning (ERP) software. Despite all of it’s robust features, SAP R3 relies on the native operating systems’ print spooler for print job delivery operations. This native spooling system is quite rudimentary and provides limited feedback from printers. It provides no value-added features and does not provide any print control from within SAP R3. Print jobs can get lost or may not complete. When printing problems arise, there are no alerts to the end user.
