A life insurance corporation has purchased OM Plus print software. They have recently purchased OM Plus Delivery Manager (DM) print software to manage check printing at remote locations with print confirmation and notification. This helps automate the printing of financial documents and checks. The solution was provided in conjunction with Plus Technologies’ partner, Printech Global Payment Solutions.

OM Plus Delivery Manager Print Spooler Management Software

Delivery Manager seamlessly ingests jobs from multiple systems. DM then delivers them to printers, multi-function devices, fax software, email systems, and more. Rarely, changes are needed to existing ERP/EMR systems. OM Plus print spooler management software features include: print confirmation, re-printing, re-routing, automated fail-over, load balancing, bundling, re-sequencing, and much more.

Breezy provides a print solution for phone and tablet based printing. Plus Technologies has completed an integration between Breezy and OM Plus Delivery Manager (enterprise output management software).

Now users print jobs created on phones and tablets printed through Breezy can be seamlessly integrated into OM Plus. That way users can have a single print management tool to manage all print jobs including mobile print jobs + backend EMR/ERP jobs from a single view.

In addition, the ingestion of Breezy jobs into OM Plus allows users to use OM Plus My-Print-Delivery (MPD) for their pull print needs.

OM Plus My-Print- Delivery (MPD) Version 3.1 – Now Available

A new version of OM Plus My-Print-Delivery (MPD) is now available. As of September 21st Plus Technologies will begin shipping version 3.1 of MPD.

Customers with valid support contracts will be eligible to upgrade to this new release without any additional license fees.

OM Plus My-Print-Delivery (MPD) software is Plus Technologies solution for pull printing. This type of solution is also known by other names such as: print release, pull-print, Follow the User style print. The idea behind the concept is to improve printing efficiencies by holding user documents in the print system until the user is authenticated then releases the document while physically at the printer or multifunction device itself. There are many benefits for implementing OM Plus MPD such as: saving pages printed, reducing toner consumption and cost, and increasing document security.

The latest version of OM Plus (2.9 v16)  now supports i-Sat printer confirmation. In this environment print jobs intended for remote SaaS users are created on a host based system and held in the OM Plus Delivery Manager (DM) system. An OM Plus system called i-Sat is located at the remote site and requests print jobs from the OM Plus DM server. OM Plus DM at the server end authenticates the remote isat then encrypts and delivers the print job over the internet to the remote isat system – which, in turn delivers to the appropriate printer.

The remote i-Sat system can interrogate the printer to determine if the all the pages from the print job printed successfully and report results back to the OM Plus system. This way users can be sure the job printed successfully or in the case they did not fail the job over to a back up device and notify the necessary parties.

A freight shipping company with over 10,000 employees has selected Plus Technologies’ OM Plus print software to complement their homegrown ERP system. Plus Technologies will partner with this shipping company as they complete development on their home grown back-end system. Then we will integrate OM Plus into the system to deliver system output such as print jobs to print devices throughout the shippers network including numerous remote sites throughout the United States. The system output will be sent to OM Plus through the OM Plus API then OM Plus will route the jobs to the appropriate endpoint. OM Plus supports bi-directional communications with printers in the network. Bi-directional communication determines if the print jobs printed correctly and the paper is in the printers output tray (also known as print confirmation). In the event printing does not occur properly OM Plus will then fail the print job over to a backup device and notify the end users system of the change. In addition, OM Plus will also provide document format transforms as well as reprint, re-start, diagnostics, logging, and troubleshooting capabilities. With OM Plus their system fidelity is expected to improve and administration costs are expected to decrease.

This company is developing their own back-end system to run the company’s business. They also felt ‘outsourcing’ print delivery software portion of the app to experts in the industry made sense.

Montana Healthcare Organization Using OM Plus

A Montana based healthcare organization is using OM Plus for their output management needs. This healthcare organization includes a 25-bed critical access hospital, a multi-specialty physician practice, rehabilitation services and home-based services. A not-for-profit organization, governed by a board of directors and populated by community volunteers.

This Cerner EMR user uses OM Plus for secure tamper resistant Rx printing on plain paper. OM Plus Tamper Resistant Print (TRP) saves cost and streamlines operations. Additionally, this system includes Context Delivery Plus (CDP). CDP investigates the content of print jobs and intelligently routes them according to parameters defined by the customer. Moreover, this system also includes My-Print-Delivery (MPD) for print release. My-Print-Delivery is also known as pull-print. Furthermore, included in this system is OM Plus Stats Manager. Stats Manager collects print data by user so that strategies can be developed to reduce unneeded printing.

This new i-Sat version requires Delivery Manager (DM) version 2.7.x or better and is currently available.

Plus Technologies and Lexmark partnership has really blossomed in 2016. Lexmark has been reselling Plus Technologies print software since 2004. Every year this partnership has grown. In 2016 the print software revenue generated from this relationship grew over 300% compared to 2015. In addition, this previous year there were numerous new customer acquisitions for enterprise print software solutions.

A big factor driving the revenue growth is the sale of output management software to the healthcare industry. Lexmark and Plus Technologies have has been very successful teaming up in the healthcare environment. This partnership provides solutions for enterprise healthcare environments such as Epic, McKesson, Allscripts, and Cerner systems. Plus Technologies’ Output Management solutions provides print confirmation to the tray, and error notifications. Additionally, our solutions provide error recovery tools that reduce help desk workload as well as simplifying/unifying support, and scalability to overcome system limitations.
